It is ideally placed for visiting the many historic houses and gardens in the area including Montacute, Lytes Carey and Forde Abbey. Yeovilton Air Museum and the Motor Museum at Sparkford are both nearby family attractions and Sherborne, with its good selection of shops, abbey and two castles is only 10 miles away. Nearby Shepton Mallet has a range of attractions, from the pretty market place and lovely church, to the more unusual Anglo-Bavarian Brewery. The south coast is within easy reach.
