Lake District National Park / Riverside location This charming semi-detached character holiday cottage dates back in parts over 300 years and has been carefully renovated and extended to retain much of its original character. It is situated in the south-east of the Lake District National Park, just a few miles from Lake Windermere. The cottage has lovely uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside and the River Gilpin flows past at the bottom of the garden. The holidaymaker can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area and watch the local wildlife which includes squirrels, woodpeckers and herons. Shop 2.5 miles and pub 1.5 miles. Ground floor: Lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with separate shower and basin, 1 single bedroom plus folding bed. First floor: 1 double bedroom leading to 1 twin. Storage heaters, woodburner in lounge (initial supply of fuel provided), initial £5 of electricity included in rent, remainder by £1 coin meter, bed linen included in rent, colour TV, microwave, lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 2 cars. Sorry, no pets. NB: There is a small unfenced river in the garden, young children will require supervision.
