On the fringe of the Lake District National Park, it is just a few minutes' drive to Lakeland beauty spots: Bassenthwaite is 6 miles and Keswick 10 miles. Keswick offers everything for lovers of the great outdoors: fabulous fell walks and climbs of Skiddaw, the majestic steep sided valley of Borrowdale, to the serenity of Derwentwater lake. Carlisle is within easy reach, and among the many historical attractions on offer are the castle, cathedral, Guildhall Museum and Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery. Shop 7 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Ground floor: Kitchen, dining room, utility room, shower room with sauna. First floor: Lounge, bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 adult bunk.
