Swimming pool Var The traditional Provencal designed villa is situated on the Giens peninsula near to Hyères le Palmiers. It is situated in a quiet residential area with a private swimming pool within ten minutes walk of the village. Giens is one of the most unspoilt villages on the French Riviera. Simple and authentic it offers a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries. The Tuesday market is the high point of the week with fresh fish, local produce and souvenirs. The coastal footpath, reserved for walkers offers superb views accompanied by the scent of herbs and the singing of cicadas. Niel harbour has colourful fishing boats and a small beach, perfect for children. The Giens peninsula is linked to the mainland by a ?double peninsula?, that has two long and beautiful beaches - the Almanarre Beach on the west side is a paradise for families and a European hot spot for fun boards and the Bergerie/Capte beach on the east with lots of water sports. In between there is a nature reserve for migrating birds. Guided tours can be organised through the Hyères tourist office. Ferries to the island of Porquerolles, Port Cros or Levant island can be found at the ends of the peninsula. Shop, cafe/bar, restaurant and beach 1km. Ground floor: Lounge/kitchen/diner.
