Set within Ardmaddy Estate, this aesthetically converted farmhouse commands wonderful views over Ardmaddy Bay. Furnished, decorated and equipped to the S.T.B. `4 Star' standard, particular attention is given to the needs of wheelchair users. Its wide variety of spacious rooms are ideal for holding parties, yet also provide solitude and peace when needed. The large garden comprises a gently sloping lawn, colourful shrubs and flowers, and is enclosed by drystone walls and a beech hedge bordered by a fenced, bubbling burn. Lovers of wildlife, birds, lovely highland trees and plants will delight in the freedom and variation of walking, and enjoy the surrounding 3,000-acre grounds. There is a profusion of activities to enjoy on the estate, including sailing, exploring the nearby islands by motorboats and hill-loch fishing or tennis. Table tennis, snooker and darts are available in the farmhouse. The surrounding area is one of natural beauty; there are unspoilt hills, glens and welcoming villages where a dram may be sampled in friendly company. The miles of interesting coastline may be explored by sea or land, and ancient castles abound, such as Carnasserie and Dunadd Hillfort. The Gardens at Ardmaddy, one of the `Glorious Gardens of Argyll and Bute', at their best in the spring are complemented by Ancala, over the famous Atlantic Bridge on the Isle of Seil, and Arduaine (NT), some 30minutes by boat or car. Two golf courses, riding, a wide range of shops, swimming-pool, restaurants within a 30-minute drive. Oban, 12miles, is the Gateway to the Islands with regular boat trips.
