Truly unique! This 15th-century tower is set right in the heart of historic Castiglione del Lago with views over Lake Trasimeno. Reached down a flower-filled alleyway, Il Torrione is a wonderful, original old building. The two apartments here are small and tastefully furnished, and there are enchanting views over Lake Trasimeno from the delightful shared tower garden. This is an extremely quiet location, yet just 50m from the old town centre's restaurants and bars. A lively market fills the streets every Wednesday. During high summer there are ferries to the lakes islands - well worth visiting. Second floor: Dining room/kitchen. Steep boat-style staircase to third floor: Double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Boat-style staircase to fourth floor: Single bedroom (for child) with low sloping ceiling and terracotta handbasin. Tiny roof terrace.
