On the edge of vineyards in a tiny hamlet, Osteria is a restored stone-built house with a small private swimming pool. This well proportioned house has a vast paved terrace looking out over the vines and provides the most perfect spot for alfresco dining. There is a large living room, a well-equipped kitchen and three pretty bedrooms, all furnished in traditional Tuscan style. Pievasciata is little more than a handful of houses in the middle of the countryside and our property is within walking distance of a small restaurant. A short distance from medieval Siena, this is an excellent location for discovering the real Tuscany, with Chianti on the doorstep and Tuscany also close to hand. 13th-century San Gimignano is an easy day trip from Siena, as is the ancient Etruscan town of Volterra.
