This converted barn, on the Montechiaro Estate, sits in its own grounds overlooking beautiful countryside and has been restored to offer spacious and light accommodation. Exposed beams and brickwork and a contemporary open-plan design, together with fresh, modern furnishings complete the pleasant, relaxing environment. The terrace is private and the lovely views of vines and olive groves enhance the tranquil feeling. Guests enjoy use of their own pool in the garden, while tennis, horse riding and mountain bike hire are available nearby. Home-produced wine and olive oil can be purchased from the main Montechiaro estate, which is within just a short stroll. Historic Siena, with its fine array of narrow, winding streets, is a short drive away, and be sure to spend time in the magnificent Piazza del Campo - home to the famous bareback horserace, the Palio which takes place July 2nd and August 16th. For the best views, climb to the top of the Campanile (bell tower). All on ground floor: Dining room/kitchen.
