Built on three floors, there are astounding views over mountains and valleys below. There is also a steeply terraced village garden with small sun terrace. The lovely village location, high up in the hills near Bagni di Lucca on the edge of a national park, is spectacular, and there is a shop, bar and restaurant, so there is no need to venture far. In the valley below are larger supermarkets and restaurants. Further afield, visit Lucca, Barga and Bagni di Lucca. Here, the game of roulette was first invented, in one of Europe's earliest Casinos. This enchanting terraced house is full of charm and colour, lovingly restored by its English artist owner. Stylishly furnished with comfort and taste, the cottage retains its original features, with beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and low doorways. Lower ground floor: Twin bedroom.
