This spacious and elegant Victorian house is tucked away in a quiet location, set in delightful enclosed gardens within walking distance from the centre of Truro Cathedral City. Adjoining a private residence, the house was formerly a nunnery and has been lovingly maintained to provide a home from home retaining many original period features including panelled doors, large sash bay windows, tiled flooring and high ceilings. Decorated with taste and great flair to a high standard, this wonderful house offers peace and tranquility within the heart of a charming city. Truro offers a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants together with art galleries and the local museum with many specialist shops in winding side streets. A regular weekly local market has a wide range of local Cornish produce and crafts. From Truro a boat trip can be taken to St Mawes, Falmouth or the Helford river to explore Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek. Falmouth is nearby with a choice of sandy beaches and excellent sailing. The National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle are popular attractions together with the multitude of gardens open to the public. Trelissick Gardens is at the head of the Fal estuary with sweeping panoramic views and woodland walks along the river amidst the surrounding parkland. Glendurgan Garden at Mawnan Smith is a valley garden created in the 1820s, which offers a maze and many species of exotic and rare plants with showy camellias and magnolias making a magnificent display. Alternatively head to the north coast for Perranporth with its wide sandy beaches and surfing schools or visit St Austell for the exciting Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. In addition there are many golf courses in the area or just explore the many walks along the South West Coastal Path with spectacular scenery. Large entrance hall with original tiled floor.
