Situated just 200 yards from Widemouth Bay's large, sandy, Blue Flag beach, this stunning detached property commands outstanding views over the cliffs to the sea beyond. The bustling resort of Bude lies only 2 miles away and offers shops, pubs and restaurants with facilities for golf, ten pin bowling and swimming. Once a busy port, it stages an annual jazz festival, and offers three large, sandy beaches popular with surfers, one of which has its own sea water swimming-pool. Numerous opportunities for water sports, fishing, canoeing and bird-watching can be found at the Tamar Lakes (9 miles). This a region steeped with legends of King Arthur, Tintagel is home to the mystical ruins of a 12th-century castle, which is easily accessible. Walkers are well catered for with the coastal footpath located opposite the property, and the Bude Canal Path with its bird hide attracting all manner of wildlife. To the north of Bude, Crooklets is the location to enjoy some surfing and lifesaving demonstrations and competitions or a couple of miles farther on, Sandy Mouth holds an immaculate stretch of sand with rock pools beneath the surrounding cliffs. Within easy driving distance are the picturesque fishing villages of Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow.
