You can enjoy superb hill walking, rock climbing, bird watching, pony trekking, fishing and shooting, or visit golf courses, skating rinks and tennis courts, all within easy reach. For less energetic days there are many interesting places to visit. Choose from Scone Palace, 13 miles, home of the legendary `Stone of Destiny'', gardens, folk museums, and beautiful Glamis Castle. James Barrie, author of Peter Pan, was born in Kirriemuir, 14 miles, and his house, which is open daily, has some fascinating memorabilia.
