Situated just south of Hockley Heath on the road to picturesque Henley-in-Arden, it is a spacious and very comfortable property - an ideal touring base, just 8 miles from Warwick and 11 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. The surrounding area shows the English countryside at its best, with gently rolling fields, woodland, rivers and canals. There are country and riverside footpaths with fine views and abundant wildlife to enjoy. Warwick, best known for its magnificent 14th-century castle, has excellent shops, including antique, china and gift shops, as well as a number of museums, including the Doll Museum, and the medieval Lord Leycester Hospital. Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon also boasts an impressive range of quality shops and restaurants, along with its museums, theatres, superb riverside gardens and boating facilities. The area boasts an abundance of National Trust properties, including Coughton Court, Hanbury Hall, Packwood House and Baddesley Clinton, all worth a visit. Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre is only 7 miles away, and the city also offers a whole host of attractions, including excellent shopping centres, arts venues and night life. The thriving jewellery centre is also well worth a visit. Further day trips could include the Royal Spa town of Cheltenham, with its lovely Regency buildings, theatres and racecourse.
