This historic and beautiful area has much to offer the visitor, being very close to Hadrian's Wall and the Kielder Forest. Chester's Fort is just a mile away and the settlement of Vindolanda, 12 miles. Also within easy driving distance is Newcastle, with its choice of excellent shops and family entertainments.
