This comfortable property is situated on Northumberland's highly desirable Heritage Coast close to Bamburgh, and has been designed and furnished to the highest of standards. Steeped in history with many notable original features, including Rangemaster cooker, exposed timber trusses and beams throughout, the property also has distant views of the bay from the first floor living room window. The Forge adjoins a private residence and stands close to the southern edge of Budle Bay, which not only lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but also forms part of the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve, renowned for its wealth and diversity of wildlife found there. The area is peppered with majestic castles, stately homes and sleepy fishing villages. Wonderful golfing, rambling and water sports are available close by. Nearby Bamburgh is a tiny village dominated by a spectacular castle set high above the beach, and is also home to the famous Grace Darling museum. Three miles south lies the fishing port of Seahouses which is the embarkation point for boat trips to the Farne Islands, whose wild beauty makes the trip worthwhile. Owned by the National Trust and maintained as a nature reserve, the Farnes are the summer home of many species of migrating seabirds, and there are several grey seal colonies off the islands which can be visited by boat.
