There are superb views and glorious walks from the doorstep, easy access to open moors and the chance to see blue gentians. Next door is where Robert Watson, the `Teesdale Poet', once lived and 1/4 mile away is a pub serving food. Nearby are the picturesque Low Force Falls, the Pennine Way, High Force (England's highest waterfall) and a Nature Reserve. Within easy reach are Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, Cow Green Reservoir, Beamish Museum, Durham Cathedral and the Lakes. Beamed sitting/dining-room with Georgian hob fireplace.
