In an idyllic setting high in the fells above Brough, 17th-century Borrowdale House and the nearby Borrowdale Cottage enjoy absolute peace with superb panoramic views over open countryside. Separated by a stone-built barn (occasionally used by the owner), each has its own garden close to a little beck.
