This superbly appointed split-level holiday property has its own garden bordered by 37 acres of the owners' farmland. It features a games room with table tennis in its well-equipped interior. In the very heart of Wales, it is conveniently situated on the main A483, just a mile from the wide streets and Victorian elegance of Llandrindod Wells. This spa town is surrounded by beautiful countryside; on its fringes is a large lake edged by wooded hills, open commonland and an 18-hole golf course commanding panoramic views. There are many activities to be enjoyed in this area, including fishing, swimming, boating, wind-surfing, tennis, bowling (indoor and outdoor) and golf. Ideal for bird-watchers, red kites are frequently spotted here and there is a feeding station at Rhayader, 12 miles away. Good walking and mountain-bike hire are available nearby, and helicopter rides can be arranged. Indoor riding centre 7 miles. Springhaven is well positioned for both the Victorian Festival at Llandrindod Wells in August, and the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show at Builth Wells in July. The scenic Brecon Beacons National Park (32 miles) with great walking and spectacular show-caves, and the busy border town of Hay-on-Wye (28 miles) make excellent days out. Centrally placed for touring, the bustling cathedral city of Hereford to the east, and the delightful seaside resort of Aberystwyth to the west (with its sand and shingle beach, small harbour and ruined castle), are both within 45 miles.
