"Magical secluded estate with superb views. . . the best of Wales - sandy beaches, lofty peaks and ancient castles . . ." Just 6 miles from a sandy beach these four delightful comfortable properties, along with the owners' home, peacefully lie in 108 acres of wild flower-strewn meadows and woodland in a superb valley near the mountains of Snowdonia. There is a wealth of wildlife including buzzards, red kites and owls. They have been renovated and tastefully furnished to a very high standard, two of the properties have their own gardens, whilst the others enjoy a beautiful shared courtyard and visitors can enjoy superb walks through the grounds and the surrounding countryside. A river with dramatic waterfalls runs through the estate a quarter of a mile away, offering the chance of a swim in the natural pool below the falls, and a one and a half mile stretch of fly fishing. Visit the miniature Shetland ponies, including the delightful foals, pygmy goats and chickens. All properties are cosily heated throughout, making them ideal for holidays at any time of the year. There is a superb selection of restaurants and pubs locally, including Castell Deudraeth, which offers outstanding food and service. Village shops in Llan Ffestiniog and several supermarkets in Porthmadog. Just a few miles away lies fascinating Portmeirion, with its warm-coloured, romantic, Italianate buildings and unusual exotic plants set against a dramatic Snowdonian backdrop. Porthmadog (8 miles) is the gateway to the Lleyn Peninsula, one of Wales' five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and popular resorts. Within a short drive are the famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland light railways. Harlech (also 8 miles) has the acclaimed Royal Saint David's championship golf course and one of Britain's most impressive castles. Both towns offer a choice of shops, restaurants, sailing and fishing. Riding locally. With superb views towards the Moelwyn Mountains, this detached 18th-century renovated cottage has its own large secure garden leading to fields and woodland beyond.
