Standing within its own substantial grounds and enjoying fine countryside views, this spacious detached cottage has been completely renovated and refurbished throughout. Offering all modern facilities and comforts, it nevertheless retains a great deal of character with its wealth of beams, wood-burning stove in inglenook fireplace and some flagstone floors. A patio area to the front of the house offers opportunities for barbecues and sitting out, whilst surrounding the property are extensive grounds (with no near neighbours) and lawned area, planted with trees. The property also boasts a 7 seater hot tub, which makes the most perfect place in which to relax and unwind after a long day touring this delightful area. Set in a peaceful rural location, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it has easy access to the coast. The English Heritage coastline lies within walking distance (1 mile), as does the local beach. Picturesque Clovelly, with its cobbled street leading down to a tiny harbour, is just a short drive away. Historic Bideford, a prosperous port during the heyday of trade with America by sea, lies 18 miles distant, its most famous landmark being the bridge (made up of 24 arches) spanning the River Torridge since the Middle Ages. Traditional West Country crafts are displayed in Old Ford House, and pleasant boat trips can be enjoyed on the river. Bude, with its beaches and town attractions, is just 11 miles distant and several fantastic surfing beaches are within easy reach, as well as water sports on the Tamar Lakes, 7 miles distant. Activities are plentiful in the area, catering for the whole family. Popular theme attractions offer complete days out for children in the younger age range, while more traditional pursuits exist locally which include golf, fishing, riding, sailing and surfing.
