Located in the sought after and affluent area of Wellswood in Torquay, this wonderful adjoining, Victorian villa has been converted and boasts contemporary décor with many original features such as decorative high ceilings, chandeliers, a grand staircase and spacious rooms. An enclosed courtyard to the front and small garden to the rear complete this stunning property. The house itself is accessed through a security coded gate, making this a very private house. The Dower House stands directly above one of Torquay's oldest attractions, the prehistoric `Kents Caverns', and a short peaceful walk through the woods will take visitors on to a large green - perfect for children to play on. A little further along leads directly onto Meadfoot Beach, which has a superb café as well as a lovely sandy beach where surf boards and pedaloes can be hired. Daddyhole Plain has an excellent viewpoint across the bay and as far across as Brixham and is only a short stroll from the property. Many sea cruises are available from the sea front, as well as all the usual attractions found in popular seaside resorts. Torquay town centre is a mere 15-minute walk and has plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. A little closer to home, Wellswood village has a parade of shops which includes three restaurants, two coffee shops and a pub. South of Torquay is the pretty town of Paignton, with its lovely beach and popular zoo, whilst a 15-minute drive leads to Brixham, one of the south's prettiest fishing villages. Babbacombe is easily acessible and makes an alternative and enjoyable day out with its model village proving popular with adults and children alike.
