Situated down a country lane just a few miles from a sandy beach on Cornwall's stunning north coast, these two properties occupy a peaceful position on a 225-acre arable farm. In addition to a secluded garden, they enjoy shared use of an outdoor heated swimming-pool. The delightful detached Coach House offers charming accommodation for a small group. Boasting wooden floors to the main rooms, it makes a cosy retreat at any time of year. Lanyon Manor still bears its family crest over the porch with the date 1668, and retains many of its original wooden floors, wall panelling and open fires. There is easy access to both north and south coasts. Just a few miles away is the popular fishing village of St Ives, with its art galleries, including the prestigious Tate, craft shops and sandy beaches. Along the coast are wild and remote headlands at Zennor and Cape Cornwall, with spectacular views out to sea, and further still lies Sennen, with its famous surfing beach and a footpath leading on to Land's End. To the south, the road leads to Marazion, looking out to St Michael's Mount (NT). Penzance (8 miles), offers good shopping facilities and numerous museums including the Penlee House Gallery and Museum. Newlyn Cornwall's largest fishing port, lies immediately south of Penzance and is home to Newlyn's Art Gallery (contemporary art). Penzance also provides ferries to the Isles of Scilly, which offer a remarkable variety of landscape and the beaches are irresistable with small coves and untouched strands. The island of St Mary's is easily the most populated and offers many beautiful bays and beaches, shopping, bike riding and the Isle of Scilly Museum. Tennis, golf and riding are available within 5 miles, and a theatre at Truro (10 miles). Pub serving food 1 mile. Visit Britain `5 Star' rating. Entrance hall. Living room with wood-burning stove.
