A trip on the West Somerset Steam Railway makes for an interesting day out, and to the south, the East Devon Heritage Coast from Lyme Regis to Exmouth can be explored. Sidmouth, Honiton and the pretty villages of Branscombe and Beer also beckon the visitor. Many NT properties can be found, including Wimbleball Lake and Knightshayes Court, Killerton and Barrington Court.
