Set within the attractive village of Monkton Combe just 2 miles south of the beautiful city of Bath, these two delightful single-storey cottages have been sympathetically renovated and furnished to a very high standard, retaining a great deal of character with exposed beams and stonework. Constructed from honey-coloured Cotswold stone, they form part of a set of three cottages formed from the original dairy and are set round a pretty central courtyard within the grounds of the owner’s Grade II Listed barn conversion. Visitors may enjoy shared use (at guests’ own risk) of the owners’ open-air heated swimming-pool from May to Sept inclusive. The area offers a wealth of attractions. Bath, famous for its hot springs and associated Roman Baths, is Britain’s best preserved Georgian city, with miles of elegant terraces as well as excellent shops. Several National Trust properties are within easy reach, notably Stourhead and Dyrham Park, as well as Longleat, Cheddar, Glastonbury and the cathedral city of Wells. Walking, riding, golf and the Kennet and Avon Canal can all be enjoyed locally. Coast 1 hour’s drive. Village pub 2 minutes’ walk._
