This charming, renovated end terrace cottage is set in the port of Charlestown, a town dating from the 18th century, famous for its interesting naval history. The town's harbour is now a centre for tall ships and the quay is becoming ever more popular with film-makers looking for authentic historic locations. Within 300 yards from here there is a Shipwreck Heritage Centre and a small shingle beach. The bays of St. Austell and Carlyon are within easy reach. For sailing and jet-skiing Pentewan is 4-5 miles away, the Lost Gardens of Heligan are 6-8 miles and Mevagissy with its narrow streets, bustling harbour, folk museum and model railway, 8-10 miles. St. Austell, 2 miles, is a market town famous for the china clay industry has many shops and leisure centre, try your hand at golf on the 18-hole course, take a look at the Maritime Museum or some of the other cultural buildings in the town, including the Italinate Town Hall or simply just relax on the sandy beach by the sea. One of the most popular places of interest for tourists in this area is The Eden Project, 2 miles, this spectacular "global garden" with its display of plants from around the world and its futuristic conservatories attracts numerous visitors throughout the year.
