Hillfold was built 100 years ago to house workers from the nearby Clarendon Estate. Adjoining the owners' home, it lies 11/2 miles from the village of West Winterslow. Salisbury, 8 miles, is home to medieval Salisbury Cathedral, which has a 404ft spire and Europe's oldest working clock. Stonehenge and Winchester are 20 miles, Bournemouth's 6 miles of seafront is 25 miles, and Longleat and Stourhead are 30 miles. Walkers will find many paths locally, in addition to those which wind their way throughout the New Forest (15 miles). Ground floor: Kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, lounge/dining room with steep stairs to first floor: Double bedroom, with an unusual wooden frame wall dividing the room from the stairs (makes it unsuitable for babies & children).
