Set in the pretty village of Brooke, with its `mere' and many ducks, this attractive 200-year-old cottage (centre of photograph) has its own enclosed peaceful garden. The middle one of a row of three, its charming, beamed interior has been lovingly furnished, and it is within walking distance of the village's shops and two inns (serving meals). It is about 10minutes' drive to the RSPB reserves at Surlingham Church Marsh and Strumpshaw Fen. The historic city of Norwich (8miles) offers excellent shopping, as well as fine museums and sports facilities. Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft make interesting day trips. Southwold 45minutes' drive.
