Close to hand is the award winning Rhondda Heritage Park as well as the Museum of Welsh Life at St. Fagans, a walk around Wales from Celtic times to the present day. Within a 45 minute drive to the north are the Brecon Beacons. To the south is the Glamorgan Heritage Coast offering superb walking terrain amidst some wonderful scenery.
