Tuther End Cottage enjoys a pretty, rural setting, near the tiny hamlet of Outgate. Adjoining the owners' home, it lies midway between Ambleside and Hawkshead, within easy reach of all parts of the Lake District. Local tourist attractions include Tarn Hows - one of the best loved beauty spots of the area. Beatrix Potter's home, Hill Top (NT), at Sawrey, and the picturesque village of Hawkshead, with its many tea rooms, nearby; as is Wordsworth's School House. Ambleside, 2 miles, and Waterhead runs regular boat trips on Lake Windermere. Eating places are varied and most pubs also offer traditional homemade food. Shops and pubs nearby. Ground floor: Lounge/dining area with compact kitchen, 2 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 small single for alternative sleeping only, shower room with toilet. Services: Elec fire. NSH.
