Village-like in size and atmosphere, Grosmont is a small peaceful, historic hilltop "Town" with Norman Castle, church, set in beautiful countryside near Welsh Border. Adjoining owners early 1600's home on main street, the cottage has been completely refurbished and offers comfort and holiday of contrasts at any time of year. Visitors are welcome to look over the owner's small workshop where he handicrafts clocks in traditional manner, one of the few remaining. Hereford, Monmouth, Ross, Abergavenny and Hay-on-Wye all about 15 miles. Shop 100 yards, pub 50 yards. Ground floor: Dining lounge with stove, kitchen. Steep, deep stairs to first floor: 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bath, toilet & mixer shower. Services: OFCH from owners boiler. Multifuel stove. All fuel, power, bed linen (duvets) & towels inc. Stereo/CD. M/wave. Parking for 1 car. Sitting out area with chairs in part of owners large rear garden overlooking castle. Washing/drying facilities avail from owner. One small dog only, please.
