River views from top floor An attractive Georgian house situated at the end of a short row of 18th century houses on Wye Street, a pretty street which rises from the River Wye to the centre of Ross and its arcaded 250 year old market hall. River View is a very comfortable base to explore an historic town on foot, or scenic walks along the river. Canoes can be hired for a day/half a day and a drop off and return to a launch 50 yards from the house can be arranged. Trips available down stream to under the cliffs of Symonds Yat, renowned for its Peregrine Falcons and the fine medieval castle at Goodrich. The beautiful Forest of Dean offers unlimited walks, bike hire, and places to visit. The cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford, 16 miles, market towns of Monmouth, Ledbury and Newent, 10 miles, and the spa town of Cheltenham, 20 miles. Galleries, antique shops and street market nearby, with shops 200 yards and excellent pub/restaurant 100 yards.
