Helmsley lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park amid beautiful scenery. Places of interest locally include Rievaulx Abbey and Terraces, Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall. Hang gliding from Sutton Bank. Racing at Thirsk, Ripon, Wetherby and York. Whitby and Scarborough approx 30 miles. Shop, pubs and restaurants 200 yards.
