This 18th century stone cottage is hidden away up a steep gravel track, overlooking the wooded Tyne Valley and surrounding hills, in a secluded location adjacent to the owners' house. Footpath access to local tracks (ideal for dogs), Lake District and Hadrians' Wall only ½ hours drive away. Alston, on the Pennine Way footpath, is full of interest and history, with good pubs along the steep cobbled street. Attractions include the Tynedale Steam Railway, lead mining centres, transport museum, mountain biking, footpaths, and real peace and tranquility. Shops and pubs 1 mile.
