These nicely modernised and comfortably furnished holiday homes are created from a fine old brick granary and stables, near the owner's farmhouse, and offer a lovely secluded base for exploring the delights of rural Shropshire and the borders of Wales. They offer comfort after exploring historic sites at (Shrewsbury) Hawkstone Park, Ironbridge and Oswestry. The farm is a few minutes from Ellesmere's lakeland, and both medieval Shrewsbury and historic Chester are but a short drive. The farm keeps sheep, geese, ducks and hens. The original round `pitching holes' are now retained as windows. This is a good touring area for walking, cycling, the mysterious Marches, Ludlow, the Long Mynd, Ironbridge, Acton Scott museums, as well as a wealth of castles, houses and gardens within an easy drive. Local pubs (one in the Good Food Pub Guide), shops and post office 2 miles. First floor: Lounge with dining area, kitchen, shower room with toilet & basin, 2 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 twin.
