Approximately 40 miles from the university town of Cambridge and cities of Norwich and Peterborough. Norfolk offers splendid scenery and buildings of historical interest, local crafts and markets, picturesque villages, lots of good restaurants and pubs, protected coastline and sites for wildlife. Kings Lynn, the closest town, is an historic port with connections to King John who lost his treasure when he left Lynn to go to Newark. There are some good museums and lots of quaint alleys and old buildings.
