This cottage was originally the 18th-century east wing of a 16th-century country manor house, built by John Carr in 1780. It has been renovated, retaining some old fireplaces and arched windows, and looks out over the well kept, beautiful lawns and gardens of the main house. Boynton is a quiet little hamlet, only 2 miles from the seaside resort of Bridlington and makes a convenient place for exploring the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. Shops at Bridlington, 3 miles, pub at Rudston, 3 miles.
