With Edinburgh, 29 miles, and Glasgow 38 miles, it is ideally placed for exploring southern and central Scotland. Biggar with its shops and restaurants specailising in local produce, a fascinating Puppet Theatre, walking, fishing, golf and riding locally. The conservation mill village of New Lanark, 13 miles, and the Falls of Clyde are well worth a visit. Supermarket, shops and pubs 2 miles.
