Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within the grounds of the owners 12th century farmhouse, these two cottages are peaceful and private, with lovely views down the Mork Valley. From this tranquil setting visitors can explore the unique Royal Forest of Dean, enjoyable in all seasons, and in the Lower Wye Valley, the magnificent borderland between England and Wales. The variety of scenery, wealth of historic attractions and selection of way-marked paths, makes this area excellent walking country. The hamlet of Stowe, dating back to the 5th century is a mile or so distant from Clearwell with its famous caves and the historic village of St Briavels, with its ancient moated Castle. Tintern, renowned for its impressive Abbey, the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford, the Cotswolds, Malvern and Welsh Hills are all with easy driving distance. Lydney, 6 miles, Monmouth, 8 miles, Chepstow, 10 miles, Ross-on-Wye, 15 miles. Several golf courses. Shops 3 miles, pub 11/4 miles.
