Bay Tree Cottage is everything you could hope for in a rural retreat. Three hundred years of character have been retained in this refurbished Grade II listed semi-detached cottage, formerly part of the Benhall Lodge Estate; thatch and beams, inglenook fireplace with stove, winding staircases to the first and second floors and a walled garden. Benhall Green is the perfect location for exploring the delights of Suffolk's Heritage Coast. Snape Maltings for its concert hall and exhibitions is just 2 miles down the road. Head on a further 4 miles to Aldeburgh where you can buy the day's catch direct from the local fishermen, wander along the sea front and enjoy the quaint shops and excellent restaurants. Within a 12 mile radius discover Southwold, Orford, Woodbridge, historic Framlingham, and why not try crabbing at Walberswick. Bring your bikes for rides along quiet country lanes and the tracks of Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests. Binoculars are a must for birdwatching at the RSPB reserves at Minsmere and Dunwich Heath. Fishing, riding, golf, painting, eating, drinking, walking and sailing all available locally. Alternatively, just sit in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet that Benhall Green has to offer.
