Two miles from the historic seaport of Whitby, and with views of the Abbey, the house is spacious and welcoming, retaining many original features. Whitby's colourful harbour and marina (fishing trips available), pretty cobbled yards full of small specialist shops, inns and restaurants and 3 miles of sandy beaches make this one of the most picturesque and popular resorts on the Yorkshire coast. Robin Hood's Bay, a coastal village built into the cliffside and renowned as a smuggler's haunt, 4 miles. Inland the magnificent North York Moors offer excellent walking.
