Spirewell House, a lovely mellow detached property, was built as a Devon long house, probably in the 14th century or earlier, at the head of a coombe where three springs well up, hence the origins of the Anglo Saxon name. Completely renovated, it retains many original features, with a happy combination of old and new. The property is reached by its own ½ mile drive, which half way along divides into two separate drives - one leading to Spirewell Farmhouse, the other to Keepings and Coombe View. All three properties are equipped and furnished to a very good standard. Keepings is an outstanding, detached, single storey barn conversion, whilst Coombe View is also a detached barn conversion. These properties nestle in a sweeping valley of farm and woodland with gorgeous uninterrupted country views, yet are close to the beautiful Devonshire coastline. Wembury beach (dog restrictions), 11/2 miles, Plymouth's historic city centre, 7 miles. Shop and pub 1/2 mile. Farmhouse.
