A spectacular view over Grasmere Lake to Heron Pike and the surrounding fells from the first floor sitting room picture window makes this a very desirable property in an excellent location. A level 10 minute walk takes you to the centre of the popular and bustling village of Grasmere which boasts a wide selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are many magnificent walks from the cottage doorstep including probably one of the most popular Lakeland walks - a circuit of Grasmere Lake taking in Loughrigg Terrace with its spectacular fell and lake views. Wordsworth called Grasmere `the loveliest spot that man has ever found'. One of his homes, Dove Cottage is in the village and is open to visitors together with a museum. Due to its central location, it is an excellent touring base for the Lake District National Park. Boat hire and teas 300 metres. Shops and pub ½ mile.
