There are views across to the moors of the western Peak District, and the cottage is an easy drive (or a short train ride) from cultural Buxton and the Peak Park, and from the museums and nightlife of Manchester. There are towpath walks in all directions for the more energetic. Shop ¼ mile, pub 200 yards.
