Picture of in

The Hotel Imperial is one of Vienna's most cherished treasures, especially since earning the distinction of being named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2002 Gold List and being named a Condé Nast Traveler 2001 Reader's Choice award winner.

For a century, this architectural landmark and symbol of hospitality has received the city's most distinguished visitors. An original Wurttemberg palace, inaugurated in 1873 by Emperor Franz Joseph I, the hotel's architectural detailing exemplifies Vienna's own Ringstrasse style. Richly appointed guest rooms, exceptional service, and the outstanding Restaurant Imperial make the Hotel Imperial an unparalleled luxury experience. The world-famous Hotel Imperial is situated on the Ringstrasse, Vienna’s magnificent central boulevard, next to the famous Musikverein Concert Hall. Originally a Wattemberg palace, inaugurated in 1873 by Emperor Franz Joseph I, this outstanding hotel is a living piece of history. An architectural celebration of Neo-Renaissance style and a fusion of internationalism and typical Viennese flair, the Hotel Imperial is a delight to both visitors and locals alike. The Imperial features 138 renovated guestrooms and suites, including two famous Royal Suites. New suites on the fourth and fifth floors offer a stunning view of Vienna, however, all guestrooms provide uncompromising standards including soundproof windows and opulent marble bathrooms. Guest quarters boast lavishly parqueted floors and a cheerful yet elegant ochre and yellow colour combination. Guests may enjoy a modern health club with a wide range of excellent services and high-tech amenities including sauna and massage. Located in the heart of Europe, the Hotel Imperial stands out as a century-old symbol of hospitality and class. Often lauded as one of the world’s best, this hotel opens its doors and lays out the red carpet to a truly magnificent city. The hotel is accessible for disabled people as well as the rooms and the bathrooms.
