With parts dating back to the 13th century, this 16th century inn is now a small country pub offering free Wi-Fi, 2 bars, a separate restaurant and comfortable en suite accommodation. In the heart of the small, charming village of Gayton, the Crown Inn offers 4 comfortable and homely rooms, furnished in a traditional cottage style. Each room has an en suite shower or bathroom. Every room has tea/coffee making facilities and there is a cosy lounge with Sky TV Rich in original character and traditional charm, parts of the building are said to date back to between 1216 and 1262, when the building was constructed to house the stonemason and the workers who built the church opposite. There are low original wooden beams in a few places. The Crown Inn is dog friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the rooms and throughout the pub, apart from in the restaurant. Free wireless internet access is available throughout and there is a computer in the bar for guests' use, free of charge. With just 4 rooms, this lovely country inn offers a warm welcome and friendly, attentive personalised service. Early departures are available on request and packed lunches these are available, should you require them. There is a kennel available outside for guests who wish to bring working dogs with them. Clay pigeon shooting, trout fishing and simulated game days are all available nearby by prior arrangement. The inn can also sometimes help to organise deer stalking, pigeon shooting or driven days by prior arrangement.
