The Old Rectory is a 5 STARS GUEST HOUSE, set within 2 acres of landscaped gardens, and has recently been elegantly restored. The quality and standard of re-decoration and furnishings is matched with the superior level of service.

The Old Rectory has been substantially upgraded to 5 star standards and offers luxurious surrounds and excellent service in close proximity to both Ironbridge and Telford business centres. Within three months of opening The Old Rectory received a Quality in Tourism awarded, 5 Diamonds and a Silver Accolade. We continue to develop our reputation as a Luxury Bed and Breakfast with Excellent Service. This is not an ordinary guest house; it suits a particular and discerning clientèle, who are not just looking for a 'room' for the night. The private bathrooms are will equipped with double Jacuzzi bath, spa baths and therapy power showers, so you'll be fully relaxed and re-vitalised at the end of the day.

CANCELLATION POLICY: null COMMENTS: Family rooms are the Linley, the Woodbridge and the Wrekin. The extra bed is a sofa bed and will only comfortably accommodate children of under 12 years. there is a charge of GBP 10 per child, per night, to include. Please note: If cancelled later than 15 days before date of arrival and we successfully re-let the room you will be refunded in full, but a 10% charge for administrative costs will be made. Payment Information: The hotel does not accept payments by American Express. Bookings can only be secured by payment of deposit upon booking.

The Woodbridge Room ()

The Old Rectory Woodbridge Room has views down the wooded valley to the historical Ironbridge Gorge. This room is suffused with the light from 2 large east facing sash windows, which allow the early morning light to flood in. The soft, subtle pastel colours give a restful and relaxed atmosphere, mellow and peaceful. In the rest area there is a 2 seater sofa bed-settee and a 32 inch colour TV with freeview. In the adjoining en suite fully tiled shower room, 2 further sash windows complete the overall sense of light and space. This delightful room can be used either as a twin or double with a 6 foot bed, or as a family room.

The Wenlock Room ()

The Old Rectory Wenlock Room is an elegant ground floor room, which is dominated by a magnificent king sized four-poster bed. The room is draped in delicate cream voile and heavy tapestry curtains, with beautiful Egyptian cotton bedding from Harrods. There is an en suite toilet with a huge jacuzzi with vanity screens. 2 large sash windows have views overlooking the extensive gardens and are draped in floor length curtains. The rest area has 2 leather reclining chairs and a flat screen TV with freeview. Rich colour schemes and fine antique pine furnishings add to the elegance of this special room, which is ideal for romantics and is often used as a honeymoon suite.

The Wrekin Room ()

The Old Rectory Wrekin Room, also known as The White Room, has a beautiful hand made king sized four-poster bed, canopied and draped in white lace-edged voile and long cream curtains. The bedroom furniture is white, French provincial style, along with a beautiful fully upholstered Victorian love seat for your relaxation and comfort. The en suite facilities include a fully tiled double sized shower. This magnificent room has a white and cream decor, which lends a lovely light, airy feel, further enhanced by the 2 large sash windows overlooking the gardens and large ornamental pond.

The Stretton Room ()

The Old Rectory Stretton Room has a fabulous double sized four-poster bed, canopied and draped in beautiful lace edged voile and long damask curtains. All of the furniture, including the bed, have been hand painted in a calming pastel green, that lends a peaceful, serene feeling to this beautiful room. Being on the front corner of the house, and on the 1st floor, the 2 large sash windows overlook the extensive wooded gardens and the large ornamental pond. This is an excellent place to watch the abundant wild life. The room has an extensive library of books and a rest area in which to read or watch the 32 inch colour TV. The fully tiled en suite features an impressive double sized shower. The room price includes a full English Breakfast.

The Coalport Room ()

The Old Rectory Coalport Room overlooks the wooded valley leading down to the historical Ironbride Gorge. This beautiful room is decorated in a Regency style with rich mahogany furniture, including a deep, comfortable king sized sleigh bed and an antique 2 seater sofa upholstered in matching fabric. The pristine en suite shower room is fully tiled in patterned and gilded white tiles, complimenting the rich and spotless feel.

The Linley Room ()

Light and warm, the Old Rectory Linley Room is gloriously alive with rich colours and textures, from the deep gold foil embossed wall covering, heavy tapestry curtains and colourful Anatolian rugs, to the heavy antique pine king sized four poster bed. This room also enjoys the benefit of 2 large sash windows. In the rest area there is a large, comfortable settee and flat-screen TV. The large en suite boasts a Victorian roll-top slipper bath and a corner shower unit, set in a pristine black marble tiled bathroom with a large west facing sash window. The Shrewsbury Room ()

The Old Rectory Shrewsbury Room is a warm and welcoming ground floor room, with a double sized four-poster bed in rich mahogany and furniture to match. 2 classical, upholstered arm chairs and a white, marble fireplace are complimented with art by local artists. The large sash window overlooks the extensive wooded gardens, abundant with wildlife. The room has a private en suite bathroom, fully tiled and boasting an impressive spa/massage shower with bath.

The Ludlow Room ()

The Old Rectory Ludlow Room is a sanctuary of soft, pastel colours, honeyed textures and luxurious textiles. The natural wood of the double sized Jacobean four-poster bed, which is canopied and draped with soft, peached voile curtains, exude a sleepy, cosy feel. A large, comfortable settee allows you to relax and unwind after a tiring day. The flat-screen television TV freeview, can be viewed either from the sofa or the bed. This magnificent ground floor room enjoys the benefit of a large, private en suite bathroom, with a 2 metre long, 32 jet spa bath - big enough for 2. The Jackfield Room ()

The Old Rectory Jackfield Room is a little haven of peace, decorated in relaxing pastel greens and incorporating a deep and comfortable queen-size bed. This cosy bedroom is adorned with mature, leafy plants and has a case full of books, helping you to relax and unwind in one of the antique, upholstered captain's chairs. Or, if you prefer, there is also a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. This beautiful room also boasts superb views over the heavily wooded slopes of the Severn Gorge, leading down to the historic town of Ironbridge. Like being in the tree-tops, it is quiet and restful.

The Broseley Room ()

The Old Rectory Broseley Room, new for 2007, is luxuriously appointed, light and spacious. There is a continental style bathroom, complete with corner shower and Victorian slipper bath. A magnificent 6 foot 6 inch imperial bed dominates the room, draped with white voile net and Chinese style curtain. The rest area has a comfortable settee and a 32 inch colour TV with freeview. This room exudes charm, comfort, quality and character and is decked with beautiful leafy plants. This room boasts elevated views over the lawns and the wooded valley of the Severn Gorge running down to the historic town of Ironbridge.

Directions:

Take the m54 to Junction 4. 2nd exit towards Telford next roundabout 2nd exit, 3rd roundabout 1st exit onto a442. 1 mile to filter left to Bridgnorth (a442). Half a mile to roundabout, 2nd exit 600 yards turn right to Coalport and Broseley 2.5 miles.cross over the river and after 1 mile Enter Broseley turn right at 1st junction. We are located half a mile on left.
