Picture of in

This friendly, privately owned hotel is set in 12 acres and was purchased by the Barlow family in 2005. Since then it has benefited from extensive refurbishment and a restoration of excellent standards of service.

There is ample space with 3 comfortable lounges, a snooker room, 39 newly refurbished bedrooms, a dining room and the separate High Point terrace restaurant, which remains open all day. The public rooms and most of the bedrooms enjoy wonderful views from Polurrian's spectacular location. Leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a beauty treatment room, well-equipped gym, a squash court, children's games room, climbing frames and creche. The creche is open during the school summer holidays. In the gardens, the sun terraces and tennis court overlook Polurrian beach and small walled gardens offer sheltered privacy.

Directions:

From London the m3/a303 route to Exeter includes some main road sections with only one lane in each direction, but it is about 40 miles shorter than the all-motorway m4/m5 route via Bristol. Exit the M5 at junction 31, signposted for BODMIN A30. Stay on the A30 for approx. 80 miles following the signs for TRURO. Take the A39 to TRURO at the Mitchell roundabout (next to the wind farm). After 5 and a half miles, turn right at the traffic lights to Truro, following the sign for the A39 to FALMOUTH. Continue along the A39 Truro bypass, through two roundabouts to the top of the hill where there is a double mini-roundabout. Turn left here onto the A39 to FALMOUTH. Continue along the A39, going straight across the roundabouts. About 5 miles from Truro you will pass the Norway Inn pub on your right hand side. Approx. 2 miles from the Norway Inn pub, go straight across the double mini-roundabout, still following the A39 to FALMOUTH. 1 mile after this is another double roundabout named 'Treliever'. Take the right hand exit from the second roundabout. You are now travelling along the A394 to HELSTON. From Helston follow the A3083 for just over 6 miles, past RNAS Culdrose (HMS Seahawk). Immediately after RNAS Culdrose there is a small roundabout where you need to go straight on. Stay on this road until you turn right opposite the holiday park signposted to Mullion. Drive through the village and turn left at the T-junction opposite Christophers Estate Agents. After the post office on your left hand side take the 1st turning on your right and follow the signs to Polurrian Hotel.
