• Clava Cairns(13 km)- Pictish standing stones and cairns. Located West of Culloden Battlefield.
• Culloden Battlefield(15 km)- Site of the last battle fought on British soil.
• Loch Ness(45 km)- Loch Ness is the largest body of freshwater in Britain covering an area of 21 square miles and almost 800 feet deep and reputed to be the home of the Loch Ness monster.
• Cawdor Castle(8 km)- Very interesting castle which is steeped in History and linked to Shakespeare and Macbeth

Directions:

From South follow a9 signs for Inverness. On approach to Inverness follow the signs for Aberdeen a96; Nairn is 13 miles east of Inverness. On reaching Nairn stay on main road going through two sets of traffic lights. On passing through the second set of lights, turn left after the church on the left, and proceed along Marine Road for 400 metres; we are on the left opposite the Victorian bandstand. From East (on the A96). Stay on this road until you reach Nairn. In Nairn there is a sharp left hand bend with a roundabout painted in white on the road 300 metres West of river. Go straight across, and proceed along Marine Road for 400 metres; we are on the left opposite the Victorian bandstand. From West and North follow the signs for Aberdeen A96; Nairn is 16 miles east of Inverness. On reaching Nairn stay on main road and go through two sets of traffic lights. After the second set of lights turn left after the church on the left, and proceed along Marine Road for 400 metres. We are on the left opposite the Victorian bandstand.
