Great Trethew Manor is set in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by 30 acres of beautiful gardens, woodlands and meadows. The only access is a delightful half mile drive. Bordered with many lovely trees and shrubs. There are many woodland and garden walks which harbour a wide variety of wildlife including, Woodpeckers, Jays, Nut Hatches, Pigeon, Pheasant, Partridge, Snipe, Kingfisher, Heron, Fox, Rabbits. Badgers and the occasional Deer. Within the grounds we have a hard tennis court, fish ponds, trout lake, croquet lawn, barbecue area, car parking and plenty of room for the children to play. We can offer pony riding or trekking on special request within the grounds of the hotel or if you would prefer a longer trek through the woodlands. Great Trethew Manor has been under its current ownership for the past 28 years. The owners take great pride in their long tradition of providing a friendly, welcoming home-from-home service. Over the years, the hotel has been refurbished with antique furniture and fittings to suit the age of the property.

Other Information: Guests may check-in anytime between 14:00 and 23:00. If you require an earlier or later check-in time, please state this in the 'Requests' section at the time of booking.

Four-Poster Room ()

There are 2 four-poster rooms. One has an antique king-size four-poster bed. The other has dual-aspect views overlooking the front and back gardens. This room has a more modern four-poster bed with a full set of curtains around it. Both rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower over it. A DVD player can be added on request.

Family Suite ()

We have 2 family suites available in the hotel. Each consists of a double bed and either bunk beds or twin beds. If you require a DVD player, please state this at the time of booking.

All of the single rooms have a standard double bed or a bed that is 4 feet (1.22 metres) in width.

Our self catering cottages are only 1-minute walk from the hotel. They are approximately 200 years old and used to be the stables. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double and one room with bunk beds, together with a shower room upstairs. Downstairs is a lounge/dining room. All cottages offer the facilities listed in "room descriptions" as well as kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Our twin room has 2 windows which overlook the cottages.

Superior Double Room ()

Large superior rooms consist of a king-size or super king-size bed. The bathrooms all have a bath with shower over them. In each room there are the facilites listed below.

• Cotehele HOuse(10 km)- Enchanted and remote, perched high above the wooden banks of the Tamar, Cotehele was owned by the Edgcumbe family for nearly six centuries.
• EDEN PROJECT(14 km)- A living theatre of plants and people. In a giant crater nestle the largest conservatories in the world
• Local Beaches(3 km)- Looe & Plaidy - Popular sandy beaches with all facilities nearby. Car parking at either the small quay side or main car parks.
• Looe Fishing Village and Port(4 km)- Looe - Pilchard , copper & smuggling have all played a part in Looe's prosperity,

Directions:

By Car: - From the A38 (Plymouth), please follow the signs for Liskeard. - You will travel over the Tamar Bridge and through Saltash Tunnel. - Upon approaching the Carkeel Roundabout, take the 2nd junction for Liskeard. - Follow this road through Landrake and Tideford Village. - On the next roundabout at Trerulefoot, take the 3rd junction for Liskeard. - Follow this road for approx 5 km (3 miles). - Just after Castle Air, you will approach a small hill, of which you will need to take a left hand junction onto the B3251 for Looe. - Follow this road for approximately 400 metres (one quarter of a mile) and Great Trethew Manor can be found on the left.
