The great location, close to Exeter city centre, makes the hotel a great venue for a wide range of events including meetings and conferences, private dining and formal receptions. There are plenty of historic buildings to visit in the region, including the city's famous cathedral. Powderham Castle, one of Britain's best-known stately homes, is nearby and there are several National Trust properties in the vicinity, including Castle Drogo and Killerton House and Gardens, as well as the Crealy Par, ideal for families or the Bicton Park and Knightshayes Court. Less than a mile from the heart of Exeter city centre and the city’s quayside, the Buckerell Lodge Hotel offers ample free car parking on-site. You can either take the bus from the stops at the end of the hotel’s drive or take the wheel yourself and drive into the Devon Countryside.

Double Room ()

All double bedrooms have been recently refurbished in a style that's contemporary, yet in-keeping with the Victorian-era building. They have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, laptop safes, Wi-Fi access and duvets. The bathrooms have modern tiling, chrome fittings and high-polished granite tops. All the usual refinements are included, such as toiletries, hospitality tray and iron/ironing board.

All twin bedrooms have been recently refurbished in a style that's contemporary, yet in-keeping with the Victorian-era building. They have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, laptop safes, Wi-Fi access and duvets. The bathrooms have modern tiling, chrome fittings and high-polished granite tops. These rooms have 2 single beds. All the usual refinements are included, such as toiletries, hospitality tray and iron/ironing board.

Executive Double Room ()

The Executive Double Rooms have all the features of Double Rooms, with the addition of chocolates, mineral water, fluffy bedroom slippers and deluxe bathroom toiletries. The bed is a king-size.

Local Attractions:

• Powderham Castle(11 km)- Built over 600 years ago, Powderham Castle is the historic home of the Earl of Devon and is one of England's best known Stately Homes. The Castle lies in a beautiful setting in an ancient deer park alongside the River Exe. Open Easter to October.
• Bicton Park Botanial Gardens(19 km)- Bicton Park has over 60 glorious acres, including their famous 18th-century Italian Garden, elegant water features, scented borders and exquisite blooms. There is plenty for the Children too. Open all year round except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
• Exeter Cathedral(3 km)- Exeter Cathedral is one of the more beautiful examples of decorated gothic work in England today. Admission is via donation. Opening times 9.30am-5pm
• Crealy Park(8 km)- Crealy Adventure Park is all year any weather fun for all the family. Prices vary depending on the time of the year.

Directions:

By Car - Exit the M5 at junction 30 and head to Exeter. Follow signs to the city centre. - Proceed along the dual carriageway. - Take the 3rd exit off and proceed to the traffic-controlled roundabout. - Take the 3rd exit onto the A3015 Topsham Road, towards the city centre. - Buckerell Lodge is on the right, one mile further on, just past the 5th set of traffic lights. By Rail: St Davids station is 2 miles away. By Air Exeter Airport is 5 miles away.
